Description
Professor Von Hardwigg, chemist, philospher, mineralogist, etc., while poring over a rare old edition of a twelfth-century Icelandic author, comes upon a mysterious parchment containing what is apparently a secret message, written in runes. Hardwigg and his nephew and pupil, Harry, set to work and finally decode the message, which reads; "Descend into the crater of Yocul of Sneffels, which the shade of Scartaris caresses, before the kalends of July, audacious traveler, and you will reach the center of the earth. I did it. Arne Saknussemm."
