Description
As part of the Colorado State University's sustainability imitative, the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences set up 3 newly built hives around campus. The video shows the process of moving the bees from the shipment box to the new hives. The project is under the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences because of a 2017 law that puts bees under the purview of veterinarian care.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife biologists did a field count of boreal toads, a state endangered species. Each toad caught was check for the chytrid fungus, which attacks amphibians by destroying their skin, disrupting their immune systems and causing heart failure as a way to assess the health of the boreal toad population.
